Features
MCP Server

Your site, accessible to any AI agent. Not just the one built into Zero.

Zero's remote MCP server lets Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, or any MCP-compatible client connect directly to your site and manage content on your behalf — without you ever opening a browser.

How it works

Connect your agent. It handles the rest.

Zero's MCP server is a standard remote MCP endpoint. Point any compatible client at it, authorize it once, and the agent gains full read and write access to your site's content.

Standard protocol

Works with any MCP client

Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex — if the client speaks MCP, it connects to Zero. No custom integrations, no proprietary plugins, no wiring required.

User-authorized

Agents act as you, not as a bot

When you connect a client, you authorize it to act on your behalf. The agent inherits your site access and permissions. It can create, edit, and publish exactly what you can, and nothing more.

Full capability

Write, edit, publish, and more

Read and write content, browse collections, create new entries, edit existing ones, run quality checks, search across your site. If you can do it in Zero, an authorized agent can do it through MCP.

Real-world use cases

Works wherever you already work.

MCP means you're not locked into any single AI tool. Use whatever client fits your workflow.

01

Update docs without leaving your IDE

Developers using Claude Code can update documentation, changelogs, or release notes directly from their editor while they code — no browser, no context switching.

02

Manage your site from your phone

A marketer can open the Claude app on their phone, tell it to update the homepage hero copy or add a blog post, and it's done. All without needing to log into Zero.

03

Automate content pipelines

Use an agent to handle repetitive content tasks from generating new entries to translating pages to keeping structured data in sync.

04

Keep docs in sync

When a developer ships a change, their agent can detect the changes and automatically update the corresponding docs in Zero.

Questions

Honest answers.

Yes. Connecting an MCP client and using it to read or write content doesn't consume any Zero AI credits — the agent uses its own model, not Zero's. Credits only apply when the agent triggers Zero's own AI-powered tools, like image generation or content quality checks.

In your MCP-compatible tool, add api.zerocms.io as the MCP server address. Zero will prompt you to authorize the connection — just accept the access request while logged into your Zero account. That's it. The client is ready to read and write your content immediately.
