Frequently asked questions
I have a large or complex Astro site. Does Zero work for me?
Yes, most likely. Zero should work with any Astro (v4 to v6) site that uses content collections. We have tested Zero with some of the largest sites, including astro.build, the official Astro docs, Starlight, and the Cloudflare docs. If it works for them, it likely works for you!
Can I share a link to the live preview?
Yes, you can share a link to the live preview with your team and clients. The preview is available to anyone with the link, without the need to log in.
Does Zero work with GitLab or Bitbucket?
Not yet. Zero currently supports GitHub only.
How can Zero work without any code changes or configuration?
Zero automatically detects your Astro site's content collections, schemas, and .astro components, and provides an editing interface that matches them. It also keeps them in sync with your GitHub repository.
How can I work with the AI?
You can either use Zero's powerful built-in AI agent via the convenient chat interface or connect your favorite AI agent that supports the MCP protocol, such as Cursor, Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Gemini CLI.
Can I select the branch that Zero commits to?
Yes, you can switch between all branches in your repository from Zero's UI.
My site is not using content collections. Can I still use Zero?
You'd have to convert your site to use content collections first. It's straight forward and works well for all kinds of sites such as landing pages, blogs, docs, etc.
